The International Conference on Nucleocytoplasmic Transport, launched in 1992, brings together researchers working on a broad range of topics related to nucleocytoplasmic transport. One notable topic is the nuclear pore complex (NPC)—a large and dynamic gateway with remarkable complexity and flexibility. Studying its structure and function has revealed key mechanisms of transport and shed light on chromatin organization, disease, and viral interactions.
